Next time we are in Stowe we plan to spend one night in town and one night at the mountain resort. We knew the small mountain town was a year round destination thanks to hiking, waterfalls, photography opportunities and skiing, but we didn’t expect Stowe to be so quaint and attractive.Īfter spending a fun day with our cameras around the mountain resort, mountain road and downtown Stowe, we spent a night at one of the Austrian Alps style lodges in the countryside. Stowe was one of the highlights on our first New England fall road trip and we are excited to return for a second visit in the fall of 2023. Our Stowe VT Hotels Experience Yea, there are prettier offerings, but with a sticker price along with it. Our stay was nice, we should have taken in breakfast, which if how the serving dishes were labeled, looked better than what your standard Hampton Inn has these days. Many other plusses are there, just don't let some old school touches blind your impressions. There is a level of convenience to that when you are loading up your vehicle. The ground level units have exterior and interior doors. The rooms are still key (like metal key) entry. Now there are a lot of old-school touches. You can take a dip in the stream behind the property or in the pool. A new high tech surfaced pickle ball/basketball court is in place. I mean, they have robes hanging in the closet, the sink and bath fixtures have been updated. The street view of this facility is not exactly the Snickers bar of eye candy, but I have to give props here, the owners are making an effort to have a lot of nice amenities. Chef Miguel is absolutely adorable, super friendly and takes his time to come to each table to chat with the guests! The breakfast was fantastic! A buffet of scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, blueberry pancakes, hash browns, french toast, quiche, a variety of breads, cereals, juices, coffee, tea, yogurt, jams, I could keep on typing! Our friends and I truly enjoyed our stay at the Innsbruck Inn and as Arnold Schwarzanegger once said, "I'll be back!".… Our room was VERY clean, the beds were super comfortable and the bathrooms were also SUPER CLEAN! There's a heated pool, which we swam in, made use of the hot tubs, they also have a pickle ball court, complimentary bike rentals, etc.And if you prefer a more quiet getaway, you can sit in one of the many comfortable Adirondack chairs that line the babbling creek, behind the hotel. …Ī beautiful Austrian inspired hotel, with super friendly and helpful staff! Although the hotel was recently renovated in 2019, and being of Austrian decent, I truly appreciated the hand painted murals, the Austrian wooden accents/decor, etc. Ladies, this place has the charm and feel of a small town Hallmark Christmas movie without the Christmas decoration and snow. My doggy definitely enjoyed her stay! I can’t say enough EXCELLENT things about this place. He made sure to greet everyone that came down, and answered any questions that the guests had. Anne made sure to print out information for us and easily extended our stay for us to get the best price. Now, let’s talk about the breakfast! Chef Miguel makes quiche, French toast, pancakes (on July 4th, red, white, and blue ones using fruit), bacon, sausage, delicious home fries, scrambled eggs like my dad used to make, Greek yogurt, fruit, the best hot coffee, hot and cold cereal, breads, bagels, juice and milk. The room was clean, had a nice table with cozy chairs, along with a sink, fridge, microwave, coffee maker and 2 bathrobes. This was perfect for me, since I like the softer beds. One was firm and the other was a soft mattress. You can swim in the heated pool, sit in the hot tub, play basketball, pickle ball, sit near the stream, and even rent bikes to ride down the bike path that takes you into town. This place sits on a nice grassy lot with tons to do. We planned to stay 1 night however, this place was so cute, clean and cozy, we decided to extend our stay and explore Stowe, Vermont. This place is so warm, friendly and welcoming.
